On Wednesday, September 5, 2024, Wayne Allison Stinson, of Georgiana, Alabama (Providence Community) passed away at home surrounded by his two daughters and loving wife. Wayne was born on November 13, 1932, and lived a great long life.

He is preceded in death by his father William Wesley (Bill) and his mother Sarah Jane Burkett Stinson. His sisters Ora Dee Black (J.B.), Eather Bash Stinson, Helen Aline S. Keeney (Neil), Florence Myriah S. Casey (Tommy), Edna Jane Black (Chester)1; brothers Glen O'Neal Stinson (Ruth), Roy Lemuel Stinson (Larene), Mitchell Allen Stinson (Betty), William Elbert Stinson (Merle).

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Norma Jean Acreman Stinson. His two daughters Renee Stinson Wilson (Glen), and Jackie Stinson Thompson (Paul).

The family will begin accepting friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024, beginning at 12:00 p.m. for visitation until 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow with Brother Herbert Brown officiating at Private Hey Buck Cemetery next to Providence Cemetery on Starlington Road Georgiana, Alabama.

The family would like to give special Thanks to Renee Olive, Tonya Jarman, Tammi Smith, and Mrs. Emma of Aveanna Hospice excellent compassionate people.

In lieu of flower, donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, 201 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Stinson, Troy Casey, Jan Black, David Burkett, Glen Wilson, and Paul Thompson.
