Mr. Vernon Watson Hood, age 76, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bryon Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, Georgiana, Alabama with Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Zell Watson and Madi Orene Hood.

Mr. Vernon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diann Hood; son, Michael (Lisa) Hood; grandchildren, Matthew Hood, Christopher Hood, Bailey Hood, Luke Hood; sister, Vernice Josey.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hood, Chris Hood, Luke Hood, Joey Lee, Matt Cobb, Buck Lee.
