Ulysis Black, age 84, of Georgiana, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 3,2024, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Brother Mike Philips officiating. The family will begin receiving friends for visitation one hour prior to service time. Graveside services will immediately follow at Providence Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing.

Ulysis was proceeded in death by his parents, Howard and Adell Black. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Shelba Black; children, Donna (Alan) Lowery, Jimmy Craig (Sanda) Black, Stacey (Dixie) Black, Kimberly (Randal) Sims; grandchildren, Sarah (Justin) Gorman, Justin (Nina Marie) Lowery, Christopher (Rebecca) Black, Katelyn (Kyle) Switzer, Chase Black, Timber Anne Black, Winston Sims, Whitman Sims; great grandchildren, Ivy Rae Lowery, Casey Black, Ellie Black, Jackson Sims; brother, Gerald Wayne (Maxine) Black.
