True Booker Smith, 96, a resident of Montgomery, died peacefully on March 27, 2017, after a brief illness. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home, Georgiana; graveside services will follow at Providence cemetery. Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends. Flowers are welcome.

True was born in Georgiana to Monroe and Laura Brooks Booker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Smith and her daughter, Janie S. Mock.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra S. Wilson and Deborah S. Matthews (Bernie), Montgomery. She is also survived by grandchildren Allison Baxley (David), Prattville, Eric Wilson (Alyssa), Atlanta, Joseph Welch, Prattville, and Kay Keckler, Montgomery; great-grandchildren Brooks Baxley, Prattville, Dustin Brunson, Salt Lake City, True Welch, Prattville.; great-great grandchildren
Mason Brunson, Salt Lake City; and special Sons-In-Law Mike Mock, Bernie Matthews, Montgomery.
