Mr. Shanton David Knight, a resident of Mckenzie, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 63.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Holcombe officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McKenzie, Alabama. The family will be receiving friends for visitation, Friday, February 27, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Shanton was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Knight; son, Vance David Knight; niece, Brittany McCormick.

Mr. Shanton is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tammy Knight; children, Hunter (Brittany) Knight, Christi (Wayne) Smith, Josh (Valerie) Schofield; grandchildren, Kayce Knight, Connor Schofield, Brianna Schofield, Clayton Holland, Andrew Smith; great grandchildren, Bryson Poole, Kenley Poole; mother, Ruth Knight; siblings, Diane (Terry) Thomas, Darlene (Dwayne) Foshee, Clanton Knight; sister-in-law, Becky (Johnny) Miller; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Sylvia & Elbert McCormick; lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chance Miller, Dwayne Foshee, Alen Smith, Mitch Connor, Brandon Boyett, Nick Thomas, Connor Schofield, Bradley Bush.

Mr. Shanton was a devoted husband, father, and pop, who loved spending time with his family. He also loved jeep rides, vacationing at the beach, Alabama football, pool days with his family, Biloxi trips, and cruises.
