Ralph Waldo Sowell, Jr., 73, a resident of Collierville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home, Georgiana, Alabama directing arrangements. Mr. Sowell was survived by his Wife: Gail Sowell, Collierville, Tennessee; Daughter: Karie ( Alan) Sowell Harris, Oakland, Tennessee; Son: Christopher Sowell, Memphis, Tennessee; Granddaughter: Brooke Harris, Oakland, Tennessee; Grandson: Brodie Harris, Oakland, Tennessee; and a number of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins in Georgiana, Alabama and Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Sowell attended Georgiana Elementary, Tallassee High School, Graduate of University of Alabama. He was also in the Air National Guard, and was employed with International Paper Company for 30 years. The Family will recieve friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
