Ouida Sellers Harwell, 1914-2011, a resident of Industry Community in Butler County, Alabama, died peacefully at her home March 10, 2011. Mrs. Harwell was born to Osgood Marvin and Susan Drucilla Welch Sellers in McKenzie, Alabama on April 20, 1914. She was one of eleven children. Her surviving siblings are M. Harold Sellers of Georgiana and Frederick L. Sellers of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Survivors also include her children Lanell H. Coile, Kingston Springs, Tn; Mack Kent Harwell (Kaye), Montgomery, Al; Sharon H. Trimble (Gary), Decatur, Al; and Victoria H. Johnson (Jerre), Georgiana, Al. Grandchildren are J. Scott Coile, Stuart C. Coile, Sarah C. Galloway, Ashley H. Walsh, Katherine H. Adams, Jonathan K. Harwell, Courtney H. Trimble, Travis B. Trimble, J. Paul Johnson, Juliet J. Burton, and Rodney G. Johnson, nineteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mack Travis Harwell, her parents, and eight siblings.
She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Industry, Alabama. During her years of community service, she held many offices and was a member of numerous organizations. She was widely known for her delicious cakes which she sold from a curb market in Greenville which she operated.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with Charles Stover officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, March 12, 2011, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Chapel.
Active pallbearers will include her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
