Opal Cobb, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the age of 76.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Wesley Chapel Cemetery beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Gary Glass officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva L. McLeod and Leon Cobb; stepfather, William Farrell McLeod; sisters, Shirley Green and Patricia Garrett; brother, William "Billy" Cobb and many beloved family members.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberla L. Diaz (Jose F. Diaz), her granddaughter, Olivia K. Diaz; grandson, Logan F. Diaz as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and her church family from Bethel Baptist Church.

Ms. Cobb loved her family, loved visiting her daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren wherever they lived in their military careers especially San Antonio, TX where they settled. She loved fishing at the family pond, gardening, creating flower arrangements and especially getting "dolled up". Ms. Cobb loved to talk, laugh, have a good time and she never met a stranger. She was always ready to give a hug and a smile.

Ms. Cobb was a loving mother, mother-in-law, nana, aunt, cousin and friend. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave all of her family. She will be greatly missed but always loved.

Pallbearers will be Jose F. Diaz, Logan F. Diaz, Darrell Smith, TJ Jernigan, Bo Sessions and Justin Sessions.
