Omarhea Shipp Walden (Granny, GG), a resident of McKenzie, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on March 7, 1934, she married Cleatus A Walden on March 24, 1951.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at South Butler Cemetery, McKenzie, Al, with Bro. Dean officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Walden was a loving mother and a extra Granny to all. She loved to sew, cook, and she work for Aletex/Andala, in Andalusia, Al, Nightingale Uniforms also. So many will remember her and daddy shelled butterbeans and peas every season. She was loved by so many, she made the best pound cake, tea cakes, deer hash, biscuits, and so many more good things. She loved every grand, great grands. She loved her church family.

Mrs. Walden was preceded in death by her husband, Cleatus A Walden; parents, ; 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Walden is survived by her son, Tony R Walden Sr. (Linda); daughter, Sandra Walden Jones (Cal); and many grands, great grand, and great great-grands.

She will be missed by all her family and all that knew her.
