Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with A Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov 26, 2018 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Ft. Deposit, AL. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, AL will directing arrangements. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra. Survivors include: Sons: Todd De Jong, Montgomery, AL and Brett (Anna) De Jong, Prattville, AL; Brothers: Peter (Evelyn) De Jong, Carmel, IA and James (Kay) De Jong, Orange City, IA; Sisters: Verna (Donald) Lindskoog, Leesburg, FL and Janice De Jong, Carmel, IA; Sister-in Law: Mary Hollingshead, Ft. Deposit, AL; Grandchildren: Delaney De Jong, Alexis De Jong, Bretton De Jong, and Anna-Claire De Jong. Gerald is also survived by many loving Nieces and Nephews.
