Lois Marrell Holley Franklin, age 86, a resident of Evergreen, Al passed away on June 19, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James Bryant Franklin of Evergreen, Al. Lois was born in Conecuh County, Al on March 18, 1930 and grew up in Conecuh County. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Pearl (Wright) Holley of Georgiana, Al. Lois graduated from Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Al with the Class of 1949. On May 28, 1955 she was united in marriage to James Bryant Franklin of Greenville, Al. Lois was preceded in death by her Son, Michael Dean Franklin. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Elder Rogene Booker officiating. Burial in Mt Carmel Cemetery. Survivors include: Husband: James Bryant Franklin, Evergreen, Al; Daughter: Diane (Paul) Vaughn, Evergreen, Al; Son: James LaDon Franklin, Ponce Delone, Fl; Sisters: Eddie Lee Sasser, Evergreen, Al and Pearline Broughton, Bay Minette, Al. Lois is also survived by 6 Grand Children and 2 Great Grand Children. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time.
