Mr. Jerry Dillard Brooks, 71, a resident of McKenzie, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was born on December 27, 1953.

Dillard was a gentle, kind, and loving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to his mother throughout her lifetime. He loved to watch TV and will always be remembered for reading his TV guides every week.

Dillard is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Junior and Lorene Brooks, of McKenzie, Alabama; brother Curtis Jesse Brooks; and sister Sharon Brooks, both of McKenzie.

He is survived by his sister Alene Tolbert, McKenzie, Alabama; brother Norman (Diane) Brooks of  Red Level, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, Alabama with Brother Tyree Bowen officiating. The family will be accepting friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2025 until time of service. graveside services will follow at South Butler Cemetery in McKenzie, Alabama with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
