Funeral Service for Mr. J.V. McLain Jr., 78, of Greenville will be held at 11am on Friday, April 15th, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday night at Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. McLain passed away at his home on Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife of 55+ years, Edwina McLain; daughters Susan Carol Lambert (Trea), Bridget Ann Brown, and Belinda "Bendy" Cook (Terry); grandchildren Nicholas McLain "Lain" Hartzog, Elizabeth Scott "Scottie" Brown, Kendall Paige Lambert, Terry "T" Cook, and Mattie Perine Cook; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jewel Vernon McLain and Clara Pettie; brothers Chester Ray McLain, Jimmy Ray McLain, Willie Jay McLain, and John Alkus McLain; sister Lois Burkett.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
