Herston Black, 96, a resident of Georgiana, Al passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Al directing arrangements. Mr. Black was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruby Burkett Black, Sons, Gerald Bruce Black and Keith Black, Parents Hugh N. and Rosa Bell Hall Black, Sisters, Swanee Edge, Virginia May, Ottrie Morris, and Una Taylor, Brothers, Ansel Black and Carbie Black. Survivors include: Daughter: Karen Black (Harold) Palmer, Georgiana, Al; Grand Children: Ray Black, Sr., Lucy Besser, Sissy Olney, and Keri Mondragon. 8 Great Grand Children and 3 Great Great Grand Children.
