Frances Heartsill Sanford, 85, passed away in her home, surrounded by family on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church, McKenzie, Alabama with Bro. Tim Morgan and Bro. Cliff Morris officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.

She was a member of New Home Baptist Church since 1971 and served faithfully as Secretary/Treasurer for 50 years. She was also the present owner of Al Hill's Boiler Sales and Repair, Inc., in Mobile, Alabama, where she also served as a Secretary in the years her husband RJ owned and managed the company. Frances also was a member of Dave Langham Chapter #536 located in Mobile, Alabama. Frances cared for her family and friends with a loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josiah B Heartsill and Lena Duncan Heartsill; her husband, RJ Sanford, Jr.; and daughter, Beverly Jean Sanford Brawner.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Sidonia) Sanford; daughter, Sandy (Chris) Merritt; grandchildren, Jessica Morris, Jon Reid, Corey Brawner, Nathan Brawner; great grandchildren, Landon Morris, Carson Morris, Ansley Brawner, Presley Brawner, Taylor Reid, Kacey Reid, Holden Morris, Judge Brawner, Anna Rae Reid; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
