Obituary

Ethel McCrary passed away peacefully on Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m., surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose gentle spirit and loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her son, Timmy McCrary; husband, William McCrary, Sr.; siblings, Jenny Davis, Betty Westbrook, Alma Guinn, Cookie Alford, Edward Busby, Donald Busby. While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her.

She is survived by her loving sons, William McCrary, Jr. (Caren), and Victor L McCrary. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: William McCrary, III (Maria), Ashley Mosley (Jon), Christopher McCrary, and Sierra Davis (Patrick).

Ethel was also a proud great-grandmother. She is survived by Ashley’s children, Landon Mount and Kinsley Mosley, and her great-great-grandson, Azriel Mount (Landon’s son). She is also survived by Mack’s daughters, Natalie and Adelyne, and Sierra’s children, Aubrey Davis, Gunter Davis, Easton Davis. Each of them brought her tremendous joy and were a special part of her life.

She is also survived by her sisters, Mae Cooper, Ellen O’Neil, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

Ethel will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strength, her kindness, and the way she made those around her feel cared for and accepted. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family devotion that will continue through the generations she helped raise and influence.

Though her family’s hearts are heavy, they find peace in knowing she passed surrounded by love. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
