Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna Ruth Mitchell, 80, of Fort Deposit will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Holder officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Red Level. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Mitchell passed away at her home on Friday, October 1st, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry Mitchell Sr.; children Dody Nettles (J.D), Harry Neil Mitchell Jr. (Jessie), Amy Russell (Paul); grandchildren Laramie Copeland (Chris), Landon Matthews (Greyson), Tyler and Leif Nettles, Tobey Mitchell (Daryll), Danielle Hollyfield (Michael), Mitchell and Turner Patterson and Nichole Welch; great grandchildren Mary Turner Copeland, Harrison Matthews, Tyler, Brayden, and Cameron Hollyfield, Aidin and Gantt Mitchell; brother Daniel Turner (Gail); several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe Daniel and Bernice Turner; sister Mildred Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mitchell, Tobey Mitchell, Michael Hollyfield, Mitchell Patterson, Turner Patterson, and Tyler Hollyfield.

She enjoyed gardening, singing, and shopping. She loved to rescue animals. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
