Dwight Thomas Ward, age 46, of Georgiana, Alabama died after a brief illness at Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama surrounded by love, on Sunday, July 23, 2023. A celebration of life will be held in honor of Dwight on Saturday, November 4, 2023, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at 1757 Brushy Creek Road, Georgiana, Alabama.

Dwight is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gene Ward; maternal grandparents, Melvin "Bud" Lewis and Bobbie Nell McCann; paternal grandparents, Willie J. and Ola Lee Ward; uncles, Kenny McCann and Steven McCann. He is survived by his devoted mother, Rita Ward; daughters, Sydnie (Tylan) Ward, Jordan Ward, Katie Ward; grandchildren, Vada Monroe and one one the way, Brayden Thomas Ward; brothers, David Robert Ward, Daniel Lee Ward; uncles, Wayne Ward, Bobby Lewis (Libby) McCann, Michael (Kathy) McCann; aunts, Johnnie (Bobby) Gandy, Audrey (Gary) Brittingham; special nephew, Wyatt Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Dwight loved his family and was full of life. He is missed dearly.
