Mrs. Dorothy L (Green) Duke, 91, born and raised in Butler County, Alabama but residing in Pensacola, Florida for the past 69 years, quietly entered into her eternal rest in the early hours of Saturday, December 3, 2016. "The Girls", her Daughters and Granddaughters by her side. The matriarch of the family, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Jack Duke, 2 brothers, 4 half brothers and 4 half sisters. Known by Mom, MeeMaw, Sis, and Aunt Dot. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Janna Floyd and Beth (Jeff) Henderson, both of Pensacola, Florida. Two Granddaughters, Amanda (Kyle) Vanlandingham of Pensacola, Florida and Amber (CJ) Thames of Waynesboro, VA and two Precious Great Grandbabies, Harper J and Christian Tucker. Two brothers, Chris (Katherine) Green of Saraland, AL and Billy Don Green of Lakeland, FL. Mom was a life long devoted member of the Church of Christ, was strong in her faith and knowledge that one day she would meet her Master face to face. All her life she strived to be a good and Faithful servant. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Georgiana, AL visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Charles Box officiating.
