Daddy……

What a Daddy and Pop he was! The greatest man I ever knew! Kind, all knowing, respectful, loyal, funny, loving, faithful, and SELFLESS! He and Mama built a loving and close family. Daddy knew a little something about everything and I've always been convinced if any given president would have just called him for advice this world would be in better shape. He was Mama's biggest fan and he called her his bride for all of their years together. Paige, Beth and I were truly blessed with an idyllic childhood.

Daddy coached many a girl in softball for more years than I can count……. Always fair and always encouraging! His coaching speeches were the best and also legendary! I have had many of his co-workers/employees tell me over the last few months that he was the best boss they ever had. Simply…….Daddy was a good man to his bones and he was well thought of and highly spoken of……. For that, I am so very proud.

Daddy loved with his whole being and while he loved and adored us three girls, his biggest joy were his grandkids. They could do no wrong and the adoration and admiration and deep love they all held for their Pop is also legendary and well known. He loved attending all of their sporting events and watch intently……

While we are all sad to lose this precious Daddy/Pop/Uncle Deryl Wayne/DW, we are thankful that he is finally with Mama…….his bride….. He's been waiting to join her since February 7th of this year.

They have both left behind an astounding legacy and their memory will live in our hearts for an eternity. I hope that we can all say at the end of our earthly journey that it was a life well lived. I sure know Daddy's certainly was.

Peace to you Daddy……. Love on Mama, Beth and Katie Belle for us.
Until we meet again……
