David Robert Bolden, 62, of McKenzie, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2026, at his home in McKenzie, Alabama.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Melba Powell Bolden; his children Jonathon Bolden, Samantha (Steven) Wasden, Zachary Bolden; grandchildren Angel Wasden (Jeremy Covan), Bethany Wasden, Callie Mae Wasden, and Laura Halford; great grandchild Ella Mae Covan; sister Donna Bolden; brothers Daniel Bolden, Doug (Sarah) Bolden; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Bolden. His in-laws, Betty and Eugene Powell; sister-in-law Diane Harrelson; nephew Shawn Bolden; and daughter Keri Halford.

He was an amazing husband, father, Pepaw, and great granddad.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. In the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McKenzie, Alabama, with Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Bolden, Samantha Wasden, Steven Wasden, Daniel Bolden, Mark Boatwright, and Jason Browder. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Cantrell, Rogers Weaver, Justin Cantrell, and Allen Bolden.
