August 12, 1939 – November 13, 2025
Clifford Morris Bozeman, 86, of Industry, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Betty Cannon; his parents, Joy Rigsby Bozeman and Lewis Andrew Bozeman; his brother, Howell Bozeman; and his sister, Susie Ann Mitchell.
He is survived by his four children, Tammi (Bruce) Edwards, Steve Bozeman, Andy (Hannah) Bozeman, and Amy Ellis, as well as his beloved grandchildren Stevie (Davis) Lester, AnJoy Castleberry, Hayden Bozeman, Blaire Bozeman, Brynlee, Cooper, Aidan, Aceton, Acelynn, and great grandson Hudson Lester who will always remember the Joy and laughter he brought into their lives.
Clifford will be remembered for his humor, wit, and outgoing personality. He had a way of lighting up a room, making everyone feel welcome, and sharing laughter wherever he went. He was also a master gardener, famous for growing the best "Better Boy" tomatoes in the state of Alabama, and a skilled white oak basket maker, crafting pieces admired by all who saw them. He loved creating and sharing his poetry, delighting friends and family with his words and stories.
A proud athlete in his youth, Clifford was the 1957 All-State running back at Georgiana High School, a distinction that reflected his dedication and competitive spirit. He was a US veteran and a proud VA service member, honoring his country with dedication and integrity. Clifford retired from the CSX Railroad, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. He also loved bass fishing, spending countless hours on the creeks and rivers all over Alabama, and he was a skilled turkey hunter, enjoying the challenge and patience the sport demanded.
Clifford leaves behind family and friends who will miss him dearly and who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, craftsmanship, and a love for the outdoors. His spirit, kindness, poetry, and unique charm will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice, and especially Heather Crittenden, for all that you have done.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Weathers, David Phillips, Benny Joyner, Tyne Heartsill, Gary Jones, and Shayne Wasden.
Honorary pallbearers are Blake Garner, Reese Castleberry, Steve Perdue, John D. Stallworth, Cliff Ellis, Brian Schottenheimer, Kevin Evans, Tommy, and Coach Bobby Wasden.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
