Cecil "Bud" Betterton, age 98, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Georgiana, Alabama with Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will be receiving friends for visitation, starting at 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Frank and Lula Mae Betterton; sisters, Neil Scruggs, Grace Holly, Doris Cooper, Ethel Morton, Elmira Thomas, Salibel Sanford; brothers, John Betterton, Revell Betterton.

Mr. Bud is survived by his brother, W. F. Betterton, Jr. (Jeanette); and several nieces and nephews.
