Carolyn Virginia Godwin, 75, a resident of Pine Apple, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Awin Baptist Church, Pine Apple, AL with Rev. Harold Smith officiating. Johnson Funeral Home, Georgiana, Al directing arrangements. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Ms. Godwin is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Godwin, parents, Obie Lee and Quincey Pauline Bowman, brothers, Curtis Bowman, Roy Bowman, and George Bowman, sisters, Betty Sims and Jeannine Stringer.. Survivors Include: Sons: James (Rebecca) Godwin, Pine Apple, AL, Keith (Leih) Godwin, Greenville, AL; Sisters: Evelyn Rider, Katherine Robinson, Ruth Simmons; Brothers: John Bowman, Eugene Bowman, Harrell Bowman; Grandchildren: Jason Godwin, Ashley Godwin Odom; Great Grandchildren: Mason Godwin, Micha Godwin, Mathew Godwin, Cohen Odom.
