Mrs. Brenda Carol Burkett, 59, of Greenville passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Evergreen. A memorial service will be held at 11am on September 25th, 2021 at Brushey Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, Barley Newton and Shirley O'Connor (James Earl); siblings Vickie Clark, Bo Newton, and LeAnn Parker (Willis); nieces and nephews Ben Newton (Abigail), Tyler Clark (Holly), BreAnna Clark, Madeline Newton, Brantley Newton, Mandy Pool (Jason), Brett Armstrong and Willis Parker Jr.; great nieces Clara Mae Newton, Taylin and Addilyn; great nephews Hudson Ray Clark, J.J and J.R; special friend Buzzy Wrench; special Aunt JoAn O'Connor; and many cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wetzell Burkett; step-mother Patricia Newton; brother Curtis Newton; and her grandparents Carson and Juanita O'Connor, Luther and Eloise Newton, and Mabel and Early Bell.

She was a member of Brushey Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the beach. She loved cooking, crafts, and watching NASCAR and Alabama Football.
