Mrs. Barbara Alma Gorum Mitchell, 79, a resident of Ragland, Alabama passed away in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. from Johnson Funeral Home with Brother Harrison Steege officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Antioch Holiness Church, located in Red Level, Alabama. The family will begin receiving friends at 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William Herbert and Mary Rawls Gorum of Red Level, Alabama; brother Andrew Gorum of Huxford, Alabama; sister Dolly Gorum of Red Level, Alabama; sisters-in-law Hazel Gorum of Huxford, Alabama, Marie Gorum of Mobile, Alabama; brother-in-law Eddie Bennett of McKenzie, Alabama.

Mrs. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert S. Mitchell of Ragland, Alabama; daughter, Lisa McAnally of Dawsonville, Alabama; son, Robby Mitchell of Ashville, Alabama; grandsons, Michael McAnally of Dawsonville, Georgia, Caleb McAnally of Canton, Georgia; sisters, Lois Bennett of McKenzie, Alabama, Lucy (Leeray) Berry of Red Level, Alabama; brothers, Marvin Gorum of McKenzie, Alabama, Raymond (Mary Alice) Gorum of Red Level, Alabama.
