Funeral service for Mrs. Audrey Mae Peavy, 95, of McKenzie will be held at 4pm on Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Dene McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at South Butler Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Peavy passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 in Georgiana.

Survivors include her children Judy Odom (Lester), Tony Peavy (Sue), and JoAnn Wingard; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Curtis Peavy; children Frances Mozingo and Curtis Dewayne Peavy; sons-in-law Bill Mozingo and Tommy Wingard; and her five brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jason Peavy, Blair Peavy, Kevin Wingard, Tommy Wingard, Kenneth Peavy, and Jason Greene.

Mrs. Peavy worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She loved going to McKenzie Football games. She was a longtime member of McKenzie Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Georgiana Health and Rehab for their loving care of Mrs. Peavy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
