Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, Gran, cousin and friend.
With joy for her and tears for ourselves we bid farewell to Arrie Belle, affectionately called "Gran" since 1982. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and creativity. Her children shall rise up and call her blessed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hurston Harvey Burkett, and Mamie Lou Herring Burkett Eady, stepfather James Edward "Bud" Eady, great grandson Joseph Daniel Parra, and nephews Jeffrey Heath Cooper and James Scott Anderson.
Arrie Belle is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, M. E. "Buddy" Stringfellow, sisters Grace (Bill) Mayfield and Ann Eady Cooper, brothers Gerald (Sue) Eady, and Ed (Wanda) Eady, children Pamela (Timothy) Proctor, David (Deborah) Stringfellow, Paula (Joel) Digby, and Wendy Werner, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Belle spread beauty in every direction through her talents in painting, decorating, flower arranging, crafts, and so much more. As a young mother, she opened a day care center in Greenwood, Mississippi.
When an opportunity arose to go back to Alabama, Buddy and Belle moved ahead. Buddy operated the Piggly Wiggly (Daleville, Alabama) and Belle's passion for flowers was expressed as the Floral Designer. The constant joy of family became fuel for her many interests.
The family wishes to express our gratitude for Eternal Faith Hospice of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Emory University Hospital of Atlanta.
