Mrs. Annie Mearl Stinson, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 87.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery, with Pastor Bubba Lambert officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at Johnson Funeral Home, starting at 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Mearl is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Veston Stinson; parents, James Houston Pinkerton and Ruth Herring Pinkerton; sisters, Annie Pearl Harper, and Iva Lee Hinson.

Mrs. Mearl is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ray (Robert); son, Alvin Stinson (Debbie); grandchildren, Lindsey Pope (Jason), Haley Golson (John Louis); great grandchildren, Abby Jones (Keagun), Sara Pope, Olivia Pope, Claire Golson, Caroline Golson, Annie Golson, Carter Golson; great great grandchildren, John Morgan Jones, Beckett Sanders.

Mrs. Mearl loved going to the gospel singings, she was member of Providence Methodist Church, and she will be missed by all of her family and friends.
