Angeline B Matthews, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. She was born on April 10, 1950, in Georgiana, Alabama, to Pete and Gracie Lee Blackburn.

Angeline was a loving mother, a faithful and devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she found great joy in her faith and community. She was a devoted fan of Alabama football and rarely missed a game, cheering on her team with enthusiasm.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Matthews; her children, Joea Stuart (Travis), Michelle Gaston (Greg), Vicki Langham (Joey Oliver), Amy Hill (Bill); 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Gracie Lee Blackburn; her sister, Sandy Pybus; and her brothers, Toby Blackburn and Wayne Blackburn.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jason Williams, Bro. Don Herring, and Bro. Gary Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Georgiana, Alabama with Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will be receiving friends for visitation, starting at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of choice.

Angeline will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
